Silencer that uses keymo4/1/2023 I'm extremely frustrated with the entire thing, I just don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or if anyone else has experienced similar issues with KeyMo. Plus you get the benefit of keymo over the asr system without having to wait for the day the rockset used to hold the omegas sleeve gives out and launches down range. Nomad sounds better to my uncalibrated ear. The Saker KeyMo is also compatible with the SilencerCo® Chimera. I have heard the omega and the nomad side by side. The front caps are compatible with Dead Air’s R-Series and the mounts use Dead Air’s HUB system, allowing the Sierra-5 to be attached using fixed, KeyMo and Xeno style. The KeyMo Adapter is compatible with any of our KeyMo muzzle brakes or flash hiders. Similar issues have occurred with the muzzle devices starting to unscrew (even with Loctite) before the KeyMo starts to give. KeyMo: Pros: Can use a 13.7 / 13.9 barrel, widest options for suppressor and muzzle device choices Cons: Weight (due to keymo adapter), blowback (depends on suppressor) I like the surefire for the flash suppression, but would likely be a dedicated 556 can only for ARs, but the trainer and blank firing adapter are great for training. The 1.55-inch diameter tubes are made from stainless steel and the baffles are Stellite, allowing the Sierra-5 to be full-auto rated with no restrictions on barrel length. On several separate occasions, I've had the can's housing start to unscrew as it's threaded in the same direction as the KeyMo device. For the worst instance, I put maybe 400rds through in a couple hours I ended up having to remove the muzzle device (yes, the one with Rocksett) and put the entire thing in the freezer before using two large crescent wrenches to unscrew the KeyMo device. On three separate occasions, I've mounted the suppressor on my rifle and been unable to get the can off after firing (even after waiting hours for it to cool down). ![]() Having just got back from the range, I wanted to get y’alls input on lock-up issues I’ve been having with the KeyMo system.īackground: I have the Dead Air flash hider mounts on two builds of mine (5.56 and 300BLK), both of which are secured with high-temp Rocksett.
